Yes, I'm complaining again, sorry. But, big things are coming!

Ok, so the new picture your seeing was a photo shoot that took forever - too much make up and hair spray too! Yes, I know - its a tough world but for those of you that don't know me, I'm not the most patient person in the world. I was so tired of smiling, I was growling by the time we were done. Enough complaining, sorry.

ANYWAY - we have some very exciting things coming and I can barely contain myself. The Trends and Tips Magazine is coming out next month and for those of you who are members, you might want to check in at the GBA Google Group. There are a few new announcements. Once our attorney approves the press announcement, we'll be able to make it public so I'm teasing you non-members (sorry :). But part of the excitement really has to do with you - listening to your stories and realizing that GBA needs to do more for you. I said I was serious about uplifting this industry when we first launched back in April and I meant every word. So, I know you'll be excited to see some of the great things we have.

Ok so I'll give you one - rumors are true, we are launching a magazine. After putting together this trend report, we had too much fun. When we asked our client base what they thought, there was a resounding YES! And they didn't just say YES, they said they wanted to be a part of it. So for all of you that called last week asking if the rumor was true (and listening to my little side stepping), it is. I wish I could convey how excited I am with my writing but I can't. I'm truly just thrilled to pieces and can't wait to get this first one out.

Are you selling to Generation X?

Tina Fermin just submitted her article for the Trends and Tips Special Publication and after doing some of my own research, I'm impressed at not only her writing ability but the content. I knew it would yield interesting content but I have to say that I'm making some serious changes within my own company. In addition to the technology integration, there is something to be said for offering products that directly relate to this generation. I'm not going to give up the trend report content but I will tell you, you should be thinking about the differences of selling to a variety of generations. It's truly an interesting concept.

How are you using technology?

Our press release that went out from my gift basket company list past Monday stirred up a lot of positive response. It appears that not many small business owners are using technology to their fullest and many reporters were interested in how we were using video. Tomorrow morning at 8am, I have a BlogTalkRadio show and I'll be explain how, technically, to set up a web cam for use in your office.
